Well, I’ve just had one of those learning experiences I used to cherish when I was younger and didn’t have the time demands I do now.
My main system is dual boot Ubuntu x64 and Win 7 Ultimate x64. the long term goal of the Ubuntu is to test and develop for Advanced Gaming’s production site (http://www.advancgaming.biz). This is because I’m too cheap to pay for a second slice at Slicehost.
I just accepted an offer to upgrade to 10.04 LT and during the process it wanted to update Grub to Grub2. Sweet, I read the directions and there is this line that basically says if in doubt install everywhere. I did and it wacked my Win7 boot. After much digging I found this:
Which fixed it nicely.
So … caveat emporer!
